IMS Prussia Cove: Open Chamber Music concerts 2025
Inspirational chamber music from world-class musicians
IMS Prussia Cove nurtures and inspires world-class musicians and brings outstanding music to Cornwall. Every autumn, IMS Prussia Cove holds a three-week Open Chamber Music seminar, which brings together elite musicians from across the world, creating unique chamber groups which combine different generations and nationalities to bring audiences unforgettable performances.
For over 50 years our work has fostered an exceptional tradition of music-making and we continue to inspire new generations under the Artistic Direction of cellist Steven Isserlis.
This concert series showcases the work of our Open Chamber Music Seminar, featuring outstanding young artists performing alongside some of our celebrated alumni. The concerts will feature a wide range of chamber music, including much-loved works as well as more unusual and contemporary pieces.
Performers and programmes are announced nearer the time. Please visit www.i-m-s.org.uk for updates.
About St Michael's Mount
Paths around the island are steep, cobbled and uneven with no handrails in some places. There are unguarded edges and steep drops. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to take a wheelchair or pushchair up to the Mount Chapel and if you are walking, sensible footwear is highly recommended.
There are toilets next to the Island Shop at the bottom of the Mount, and in the courtyard by the Mount Shop. There is an accessible toilet situated on the east side of the island and on the harbour front.
There is plenty of parking in the St Michael’s Mount and Long Stay Marazion car park. There are free bike racks in the Short Stay car park.
The causeway to St Michael’s Mount opens at 1.45pm, and will remain uncovered until 5.40pm.
In the event of extremely bad weather conditions and St Michael’s Mount is closed, the concert will be held at the same time, in St Hilary Church. You will be notified by the Minack Box Office by text if this is the case.
