We aim to make our site available to everyone as far as we can, however the steep, rocky geography of The Minack does create some access limitations. If you have concerns or questions about access please contact us and we will help in any way we can.
Our Access Facilities
We have ramped access to all the visitor facilities on the site, however the main auditorium and stage are only accessible via long flights of steps.
If you’d like to experience what it’s like to be on stage or lower levels, but you can’t manage the steps, ask in the Visitor Centre for one of our virtual tour headsets.
Our car park has accessible parking bays adjacent to the theatre entrance and there is a ramp for wheelchair access to the visitor centre. Within the site there is ramped access to the exhibition centre and café, and there is an accessible toilet.
If you’re coming to a performance and would like to use the accessible balcony please call our Box Office on +44 (0)1736 810181. Spaces are limited, so please book as early as possible.
A hearing loop is available in the Lower Terraces and on our Accessible Balcony.
We can also provide Assistive Hearing Headsets, suitable for users with or without hearing aids, who may need a little extra boost from our sound.
Please call the box office or email [email protected] for more details.

Audio Described Performances
The Minack is very pleased to be able to offer bespoke audio description for most of our main season productions, excluding music events and performances with runs of three days or less. Audio description is generally available on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday performances, to allow time for the descriptive script to be prepared, which can only happen once the production is up and running. Audio Description must be booked in advance of the week of performance. Please speak to the box office about your requirements when you book your seats.
