Be part of an exciting new British Theatre Academy and Minack Theatre musical collaboration to be performed at the Minack on 1 and 2 November.
Footloose is a dynamic, high-energy story celebrating the exhilaration of youth! City boy Ren thinks life is bad enough when he's forced to move to a rural backwater. But his world comes to a stop when he arrives in Bomont to find dancing and rock music are banned. Taking matters into his own hands, Ren soon has the whole town on its feet.
Auditions will be held on 23 June 2024 at the Minack Theatre for students aged between 11-18 years (school year 7 and above).
Auditions will involve singing, dancing and acting.
The director/choreographer will be present at the auditions.
Audition materials will be on-line by the end of May.
Each auditionee should bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing and shoes they can move easily in.
- Principal rehearsals will take place 22-26 July in London.
- Full company rehearsals will take place 26-31 October at the Minack.
- Performances the weekend of 1 and 2 November (end of half term)
To audition you will need to give consent to being photographed. You will also need to agree to your information being shared with the British Theatre Academy.
