The forecasting of weather in this corner of Cornwall is notoriously unreliable. It can be raining all over Cornwall and still dry and fine here, and the opposite can be true.
With many years of experience of watching the weather we rely on a combination of several sources for weather data and ‘paid for’ radar when deciding if a show is likely to go ahead.
Our terms and conditions state that we play in rain and we sometimes do. It is only on the rare occasion when the rain is particularly heavy combined with a strong wind that shows are cancelled on safety grounds.
You can follow the weather at Minack by checking our own weather station data here at https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IENGLAND646 , which displays the current weather conditions in the theatre, or by taking a look at the webcam.
The Sunday night performance of JAWS is ON. There are no weather problems this evening.
