We have plenty of parking for our play-goers. Follow brown signs from the A30 to the Minack Theatre.
Doors open at 1pm for our matinee performances (2pm start) and 7pm for our evening performances (8pm start). We open the theatre an hour before every performance since so many of our visitors enjoy sitting and looking at the view, and lots of people bring a picnic to enjoy before the show.
Rain does not stop our performances. If it’s safe to do so, we carry on, so be prepared with appropriate clothing (no umbrellas). Evenings can be cool, so warm clothing is often best even in mid-summer. For matinée performances (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons) bring sunhats and proper sunscreen.
Minack tickets are for un-reserved seats – when you arrive you will be shown to the next available seat. All our seats have a good view of the stage (with a very few exceptions which we only offer if every other seat has already been sold) and the sound is good throughout the theatre thanks to our state-of-the-art sound system. We have an area at the top of the theatre that is accessible by wheelchair and both this area and the lower terraces also have a hearing aid loop.
The terraces are not made up of individual seats – as an audience member you’re shown to the next available space when you arrive. If you want to sit together as a group, you will need to arrive together.
We regret that no dogs (except guide dogs) will be admitted to performances (including Minack Mornings storytelling events).
