The Minack Theatre is currently closed
In this fast-moving situation, we are only able to plan with confidence a few weeks ahead. We will remain closed as long as we need to and will regularly monitor and update our decision in light of government and Public Health England advice.
We feel very much not only for our own staff and visitors but for all the performers and companies who were looking forward to bringing their shows here to entertain you. Once the current crisis is behind us, we are hoping to enable as many of them as possible to reschedule for a later date.
Is the site open to look around?
Sorry, but no. The whole site is closed including the car park and all facilities.
When we re-open, entry will be by advance booking of a specific time slot only.
I have tickets for a show that has been postponed? What should I do?
Anyone who has tickets for performances which have been postponed or cancelled will be contacted by our Box Office team.
We would ask you to help by waiting for us to contact you, as we only have a small box office team working from home. We will be in touch, but it will take time to contact everyone, so please be patient.
Refunds should arrive in bank accounts within a few days of being processed by the team.
I have tickets for a show later this year? When will I know whether it will go ahead?
In these rapidly changing conditions we are only able to make decisions a few weeks ahead. If we need to cancel or postpone future performances, we will post this on our website and social media and contact everyone who has bought tickets for the event.
I have tickets for a show later this year, which has not been postponed? Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you email [email protected] a refund will be arranged. If possible please include the order number which appears in your original confirmation email from us.
Are there any plans to reschedule shows that have been cancelled?
We hate losing shows and hope to reschedule as many of our performances as possible when it becomes practical to do so. As soon as we are able to give you good news about our future plans, rest assured we will!
Can I transfer my tickets if a new date is scheduled?
We are considering moving some events from the 2020 season to similar dates in 2021, but are unable to put tickets for those events on sale at this time.
Will your office be open if I need to speak to someone?
A member of our team will be answering the phone between 10am and 2pm on weekdays, but it will be helpful if you can ask questions via email.
I purchased a bus ticket - will this be refunded?
Yes, all bus services to Minack events this summer have been cancelled. You will receive a full refund of the bus and theatre ticket shortly.
