The Theatre-in-Education company, 'Twisting Yarn' secured permission to stage the 2002 Man Booker fiction prize winner thanks to the determination of artistic director, Keith Robinson. Yann Martel’s novel tells of Pi, a young Hindu boy on a spiritual journey and a great adventure.

For 2008 the students of Central School will, for the first time, join forces with an innovative professional company to bring this spectacular show to the Minack stage. This is a play with tigers, turtles, an orangutan and some meercats, an Indian backdrop, a seven-month story of survival and one boy.

"Life of Pi" is an adventure which challenges children and adults alike. A story of self-exploration and survival, it will make you question your own beliefs and views of the world.
